JS Curtains & Blinds
Here at JS Curtains and Blinds, we take pride in the service we provide. From the first point of contact we take your dreams and ideas and turn them into a reality. RS Displays and Exhibitions, Mamas and Papas nursery toy manufactures, Cedar Court Hotels and many restaurants and bed and breakfasts. We cover a large area of Wakefield and Leeds, but if you live outside of these areas do not hesitate to contact us anyway, we may still be able to help.

Our service includes a visit to your home or business for a free measure at a time to suit you, where once we meet we will advise you to what products or services will be best for what you wish to achieve. It is sometimes hard when you have to choose fabrics in a shop environment as their lighting and decorations are not always to your taste. That's why we bring all our samples to you, it's easier to choose from your home, making sure the fabrics style and colour works with new or existing furniture and decor.

A full detailed quote will then be given, this is a no obligation quote and once you've decided, a time scale will be quoted- this usually ranges from 3 to 5 weeks.

It is a very elegant and neat style of heading which can be dressed into a number of different ways.
You can have a double or triple Pinch Pleat, curtains or valance.
Pinch pleats can be finished without buttons for a more modern appearance, or with buttons, these can be either matching or contracting fabrics, or for that little bit of bling, diamantes can be added.
This type of valance/curtain uses a little more fabric than a traditional pencil pleat but it creates a lovely uniformed gather.
The eyelet heading curtain is a modern style of our modern living which allows the pole to pass through the curtain.
Eyelet curtains don't need to be tied back as they stack very neat and compact allowing maximum light into the room.
This is perfect when space is an issue.
They are best fitted onto metal poles (maximum of 30mm diameter) and the colour will be matched as near as possible to the colour of your pole.
Pencil pleat is the most common type of curtain headings.
A heading tape is sewn onto the top of the curtain and the strings within the tape are pulled up to gather the curtain, creating the effect of a row of pencils.
This style of heading provides a very traditional look but the curtain stack is larger as compared with other heading styles, therefore most people choose to dress these with tiebacks.
All our pelmets are handmade to order, offering you more flexibility with design and style.
There are two main types of pelmet: wood pelmet and a drape pelmet.
A wood pelmet is where, as indicated, the main body of the pelmet is made of wood.
This is cut into the design of your choice and covered with interlining to give an upholstered luxurious feel.
Your fabric is then fitted around and lining is added to the back, making the pelmet look as neat from the front as is does the back.
The second type of pelmet is a drape pelmet which is made in a similar way, however, instead of wood; a softer, lighter material is used.
Swags and tails are the most elaborate style of window dressing and they add a touch of class to a room.
We offer many types of design to create a dramatic effect using all trimmings, fringes and beading or a minimal finish to create a more modern/contemporary feel.
The most popular design is two or more swags which are made to fit across the width of a pelmet board.
They can be overlapped or butt up to each other with the tails fitted over the swag at the end of the board.
These finish the window by hiding all the unsightly working parts of the track and pelmet board.
